Why Replace your Existing Windows to Energy Efficient Windows?I own a house in Naugatuck, CT for the past 4 years and I replaced all my windows to energy efficient windows within the 1st year. WHY??? because I wanted to save energy and it seemed as changing windows would be the easiest thing to do at the moment. Of course, if you replaced your windows or thinking about replacing them, you know it's expensive. I ended up spending over $5K. BUT... the question I have now is, was it worth it??? When the sales guy gave me all the details on double pane windows and it's energy star rating and all other good stuff, it made sense... however, did it really reduce my energy cost to 30% as expected?
